Mr. Owase Jeelani is a paediatric neurosurgeon, inventor, entrepreneur and philanthropist specialising in craniofacial reconstructive surgery and craniopagus separation surgery
Mr Owase Jeelani, is a World-renowned Paediatric Neurosurgeon, inventor, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. Mr Jeelani’s NHS practice is held at Great Ormond Street Hospital and undertakes 200-300 paediatric neurosurgical and craniofacial surgeries annually.
Mr Jeelani completed basic medical training in Nottingham and Southamptom and then went onto complete his Neurosurgical and Craniofacial training in the UK and Canada. Mr Jeelani holds fellowships in Paediatric Neurosurgery and Craniofacial Surgery at both Great Ormond Street Hospital and Sick Kids in Toronto, Canada. Additionally, Mr Jeelani attended the University if Glasgow, gaining an MPhil in Medical Law.
His sub speciality interests are Craniofacial Reconstructive Surgery, Craniopagus Separation Surgery, Surgery for Brain Tumours and Cerebrospinal Fluid and Intracranial Pressure Pathologies.
Mr Jeelani is also the Founder of Gemini Untwined which is a charity solely committed to the research and treatment of a variety of complex craniofacial and neurosurgical conditions as well as craniopagus (conjoined) twins. He is also recognised as an Honorary Associate Professor at the Institute of child Health at University College London (UCL).
