Dr Portia Goldsmith is an expert in General Adult & Paediatric Dermatology, Complex Skin disease, Eczema and Contact Dermatitis Consultant

Dr Portia Goldsmith has been a Consultant Dermatologist for 27 years. She has been working in the NHS at the Royal London and Homerton Hospitals for the last 22 years, and prior to that, she was a Consultant at the Whittington Hospital for 5 years.

During her time as a consultant, Dr Goldsmith has been head of department and in charge of dermatology training in North Thames. At present, Dr. Goldsmith is Dermatology network lead across North East London.

Dr Portia Goldsmith qualified in 1983 from Charing Cross Hospital Medical School and did her medical training there and at Barnet General Hospital. Her Dermatology training was at the Chelsea and Westminster, the Middlesex Hospitals and St John’s Hospital for skin disease, where she was the patch test senior registrar.

Dr Goldsmith was a Wellcome research fellow and undertook her MD thesis on the cold related skin disease.
