Consultant Interventional Radiologist & Image-Guided Surgeon

Dr Zaid Aldin is a consultant interventional radiologist and Image-guided surgeon. He specialises in all aspects of vascular intervention with a special interest in complex aneurysm repair, prostatic artery embolization, management of varicose veins and aesthetic microsclerotherapy.

Dr Aldin completed surgical training in Colchester and interventional fellowship training at Imperial College Healthcare Trust in London. He is European Board Certified in vascular and non-vascular intervention (EBIR).

Dr Aldin has been a practising consultant for 12 years. He is a member of the Standing Committees of the British Society of Interventional Radiology (BSIR) and a member of the European Board of Interventional Radiology Council. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists in the UK (FRCR) and a member of the Royal College of Surgeons in Glasgow and the American College of Phlebology.

Dr Aldin has a longstanding interest in research. He is an author and reviewer in the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology Society of Europe (CIRSE) Academy. He is a co-author of multiple papers in peer-reviewed journals and continuously presents his work in national and international meetings. He is the lead of the IR training programme in his institute, motivating the interventional radiology trainees.
