At 152 Harley Street, we use laser treatment to remove pigmented skin lesions. These lesions can be the product of excess melanin, liver spots, moles, blood or even exogenous pigments such as tattoos. During this process, the pigment in these lesions is targeted by the laser and works to reduce the appearance resulting in a much clearer complexion. Pigmented lesions are usually found and treated on the face and the backs of the hands.
Usually, a minimal number of treatments are required to effectively remove pigmented lesions.
Before undergoing any laser treatment, you will first have an in-depth consultation with one of our expert specialists. During this consultation, they will assess your specific needs, discuss your treatment goals, and recommend the best laser treatment for you. This consultation is crucial in ensuring that you receive a personalised treatment plan that is tailored to your individual needs and that you are fully informed about the treatment process, potential risks, and expected outcomes.
Laser treatment can be used to remove facial blood vessels and birthmarks. In order to remove blood vessels, a precision laser is used to target these sites, and it works to destroy the blood vessel allowing clients to enjoy their natural complexion, cleared from these visible blood vessels. Depending on the size of these blood vessels, multiple treatments may be required in order to ensure the vessel is completely removed. The cost of treatment will vary depending on how many sessions are required.
Birthmarks can be removed in a similar way. There are many different types of birthmarks, including blue birthmarks, which are visible as a result of blood collection underneath the skin’s surface.
Brown birthmarks are caused by deposits of skin pigment leading to an area of darker skin which is visible on the surface.
Red birthmarks, also known as haemangiomas, are evident as a result of an abnormal crowd of blood vessels and these can cause clients some discomfort leading to them desiring treatment.
Lasers can be used to break down excess pigment or a collection of blood vessels leading to the birthmarks fading. You may require multiple sessions to completely remove birthmarks as they may take time to completely break down depending on each individual client.
In the majority of cases, birthmarks do not return after laser treatments.
The cost of treatment will depend on the size of the birthmark and the number of treatments necessary and therefore the cost will be different for each client.
