Microneedling stimulates collagen production and rejuvenates the skin

Microneedling is a popular cosmetic treatment used to rejuvenate the skin. It stimulates collagen production and encourages the body to action its natural healing response to rejuvenate the skin providing a smoother and firmer appearance to the skin.

It is used for a variety of conditions and reasons. As a result, it can effectively reduce the appearance of acne and acne scars, dark spots, scarring, and large pores. Also, microneedling treatment can reduce fine lines, wrinkles, and other signs of ageing.

The procedure consists of minor injuries administered to the skin using a microneedling device. The needles in it stimulates collagen production, which improves skin texture with a firmer and smoother appearance.

With our specialists, and initial consultation is made with an expert specialist in the area. The treatment itself is done using a topical anaesthetic and therefore no significant pain felt during the procedure. It takes around 45 minutes to an hour. Costs may vary, depending on the size of the area being treated.

Microneedling is an effective treatment to resurface the skin, reversing signs of ageing, reducing fine lines, wrinkles and acne scars.

During a session, tiny sterile needles are used to create micro punctures in the skin. The micro punctures stimulate the skin to begin a healing process which leads to an increased production of collagen as well as increasing elastin in the dermis (responsible for firmer appearance). The skin is stimulated with the microneedles for around 30 minutes.

Before microneedling, a local anaesthetic is usually applied and therefore you shouldn’t feel any significant pain. You may feel some discomfort as the skin is injured using the tiny sterile needles.

He’s been extremely patient in taking time to explain things in full, prompt in answering all the questions I had throughout my recovery. Excellent communicator and very kind indeed. Scrub nurses were lovely, and in general I can’t fault my experience with you at all."
